Duplicate Signatures in Sanchay Post

1) Unzip Signature.zip and copy a_signature.pbd ,  patch_signature.exe to SP5Comm folder.
2) Execute patch_signature.exe.
3) After selecting the scheme , this will list duplicate accounts in 1st datawindow, if exists.
4) The selected account number along with seqno will be displayed in 2nd datawindow.
5) By Clicking on this acctno, signature is displayed.
6) When Delete Signature button is clicked a
confirmation message is displayed and then the selected account's additional signature is deleted from Sign database.

New Income Tax Exemption Limit FY 2011-2012

Raise in Income Tax Exemption Limit in budget 2011-12

As all are expected, the Government today increased the Income Tax exemption limit.  
·         Government today increased the IT Limit from 1.6 lakhs to 1.8 Lakhs.
·         For senior citizens of above 80 years  the new tax exemption limit is Rs 5 lakhs.
·         Exemption for senior citizens raised to Rs. 2.5 Lakhs.
·         Age limit of senior citizens to claim tax exemption reduced to 60 years.
·         Relaxation in e-filing norms for small tax payers.
·         No change in Tax Slab for Women.
No change in TAX Slab for Women.
NO Declaration of Dearness Allowance for January 2011.
Benefits for Central Government Employees in Budget

·         The Main benefit is in the Increase in the Income tax limit.
·         There is an increase of  20,000    in slab.
·         Direct Tax Code will be implemented from April 2012.
·         Will simplify the tax structure.
·         I-T exemption limit raised from 1.6 lakh to 1.8 lakh
·         Tax exemption limit raised to Rs 5 lakhs for senior citizens above 80 years.


Discontinuation of 'Certificate of Posting'.

Sub: Discontinuation of 'Certificate of Posting'.
            Under the provisions of Rule 195 of the Indian Post Office Rules , 1933 'Certificate of Posting' is granted to the public to afford an assurance that letters and other articles for which no receipts are granted by the Post Office and entrusted to servants or messengers for posting have actually been posted.
            It has since been decided that' Certificate of Posting' may be discontinued immediately.
            A copy of Gazette Notification No. 58(E) dated 31.1.2011 deleting rule 195 of the Indian Post Office Rules, 1933 regarding 'Certificate of Posting' is enclosed for information and necessary action.
            This may kindly be brought to the notice of all concerned for strict compliance.
            The receipt of this communication may also be acknowledged.

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 31st January, 2011
            GSR.58(E)- In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (d) of sub-section (2) of Section 21 read with section 74 of the Indian Post Office Act, 1898 (6 of 1898), the Central Government  hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Indian Post Office Rules, 1933, namely:-
1.         (1) These rules may be called the Indian Post Office (Third             Amendment) Rules,    2011.
            (2)        They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the      Official            Gazette.
2.         In the Indian Post Office Rules, 1933, in part VIII relating to "General Rules", the heading "III-Certificate of Posting "and rule 195 shall be omitted.
